Adding On at Sold Out Resort/ Adding people to membership

Hi All!

I am very new to the DISboards so I apologize if guidance for this scenario has already been discussed somewhere. I am the Dis Daughter of DVC members and wondering if anyone has successfully added their children as members on their DVC contract. My mom has looked into this a couple times, and sent some messages, to no avail. Despite being the primary user of the DVC points, I am unable to utilize any of the DVC benefits. Has anyone successfully gone through this process?

Additionally--curious about the process for adding on points at SSR direct from Disney? Looking online, they obviously are not advertising that option at all. Is it difficult to do this type of add on? What is usually the cost differential between buying SSR direct vs. resale?

There are also some 3rd parties that will do the paper work for you. One of them is LT Transfers and their fees start at $150.

SSR direct is currently $160 per point plus closing costs.
SSR resale is around $100 per point plus closing costs.

I just did this and it was easy. I ended up using First American who Disney uses, but it was pricey, $475 I called Members Administration and they told me what to do

The suggestions above will save for sure and has I known about LT, I would have done it through them.
