Does anyone know how hard it is to add a new person to the cruise? We leave in September and need to add my DGF.

Thanks much!

Call DCL or if you used a TA you need to call them. If you are adding them to aroom it might be too late to do so. Good Luck!

It really has more to do with the age of the passenger and the space in the appropriate children's program (if applicable.) Each kid's level has a capacity and when that is reached, DCL won't allow any more people in that age range to sail even though the ship and your stateroom may not be full.

September is a rather "empty" month--DCL recently announced FL resident rates to try to fill the ship. However, Sept. tends to be a big month for toddlers and pre-schoolers.

All you can do is to call DCL and ask. Chances are that it will be no problem.

It's my grandfather we're adding - and I'm pretty sure they won't let him stay in the kid's clubs! He's 90. My DGM, his wife, just pased and we're hoping to talk him into joining us.

LOL. You never know Sweetsue he might enjoy watching the little ones play in there. Hope you can talk him into cruising with you.

On whether he will be added to your room or in a room by himself. If you're cruising in September it shouldn't be too hard to book an additional cabin although a little pricey this late. I would contact either DCL or your TA immediately.

We recently added a person to our booking...it was our neice...and we had space for one more person in my parents stateroom...All it took was calling DCL (to check on space....since she is a child)...then calling our TA to sign her up...of course the $250 deposit also.

I called DCL first just because it was a weekend (Sunday) that she decieded to go...so I called DCL to check on avaiable space since our TA office was closed. First thing Monday morning...I called the TA and signed her up.

Of course with your cruise being in Sept...it might take more than just the deposit...if your closer than 60 days...you might need the whole cruise fare.
