Hi everyone- hoping for some advice...

My in laws have a DVC contract that they want to add our names to. We live in the uk and I think they are getting in a bit of a middle trying to sort it out.... please can someone very simply talk me through the process?

We are just over 60 days till we go home- if we set the ball rolling in the next week to get us added- will it be done by the time we go home at the end of Oct? Do/should we receive blue cards? Will they come through?

Thanks for the help!!

I just completed this same transaction and it was just little bit over 60 days. Was a little confusing but the person who was assigned to me at First American Title was very patient with me! And made it seem so much easier. Good luck!

Almost forgot - I actually called DVC today to confirm that my daughters have been added to the title on the deed and indeed they were. When I inquired if they would be getting their own membership cards I was told yes they would - in about 6 to 8 weeks. Not sure why it would take so long.

DVC should have sent you a 'Welcome Home' email with club id numbers and one time access codes for each new person on the deeds. Go to the DVC member website and have each member login with their MDE credentials - it will ask you if you are a DVC member. Click 'yes' and then use the club numbers assigned in the email and the access code to set up a DVC account for each member. They will be able to download a temporary card until the hard plastic ones come via snail mail.

My daughters have not gotten any email from DVC. I had to call to verify that the change had indeed taken place.

I would call member information and let them know you did NOT get the welcome home email with new club ids for your daughters and that your daughters did not get the email with the access code to set up their account. We just did this exact process this week. This was the subject of the email from Member Administration: Welcome Home, **** Family! Grat. Transfer Completed. This email had the new club id numbers for the new members. The next day each new member received an email from Disney Vacation Club: Your Disney Vacation Club Member One-time activation code. You should call member administration.

I added my parents without using a title company. It took 7 weeks start to finish, and that was with taking a while to get paperwork back to them around Christmas.
