Adding guest to reservation

If you have a DVC reservation that's not showing up in MDE you can add it with the reservation # on your computer. I believe when you do that it takes the guest list from the DVC reservation and matches it to you and anyone in your friends and family list.

We may be having a friend come join us for part of our next trip. When I know that they are coming I would like to add them to our reservation so they can join us at the extra evening hours for deluxe hotels. I don't know if they're coming yet but our 60 day dining reservation window is open now and I'd like to add the reservation to MDE to book some dining. Is there any issue adding a guest to your reservation via the DVC website after you've tied your reservation to MDE? Will you be able to attach that new guest to a friend in MDE? Apologies I've never added a guest to an existing reservation before and don't want to mess anything up. Thanks!

No. You can update guests later vis DVC and then in MDE it will ask you to update it there once you make the change.

You can update it online, but I believe you need to call MS if within 30 days of your stay.

I have been able to add someone online within 30 days on DVC and then just match it on MDE.

Maybe I was within a week when I was locked out adding a guest.

Me again When adding a guest to an existing DVC reservation how important is their address? I'm wondering if not checking the box that their address is different than ours is an issue.

And for assigning the guest in MDE after adding them to the reservation I know the name needs to match exactly but what about email and phone number? Do those also have to match exactly to what's in their MDE profile?

I never put in real addresses unless my family or friends are traveling without me.

In terms of matching, if the names are not exact, it should give you the option to march regardless.
