I just rented points from my favorite DVC member...:cool1:

Jambo house AKV....

Anyway this trip is about eating......;) So I was thinking the dining plan may make sense for us this trip.... The restaurants we want too go too are kind of pricey....

41.99 per day is not bad..Plus we can use our snack credits at F&W....

How is this done went renting??? I have an e-mail into my DVC member, but I know how full of info all you Dis'ers are....:worship:

Will she just add it for us and we pay Disney or her????

Thanks.....:dance3:

The member that you rented from will need to add the dining plan to the reservation at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date. All persons listed on the reservation must be on the same plan for all nights. You would pay for the dining plan at check-in.

One more question...

A couple places we want too eat my DD would not want too order off the adult menu...
Example Kona Cafe for lunch...It is a sit down credit we plan too eat at before MNSSHP and she will want too order off the kids menu...Will they let her???

She will be 12 and I know I have too get the adult dining plan, but she is only 65 pounds and is somewhat picky......So if we can order off the kids menu if needed she will be happy....:cloud9:

Boma and Ohana will be fine...Buffet....The rest of us will eat anything....

Thanks,

You can always purchase a kids meal using an adult credit- they will allow that- or if you so choose you can order a child's meal and pay out of pocket for it and then use her adult credits to eat a different table service.

Thanks for the tips......

Very excited...Our trip is offical as of today...I can start planning...Dining call in is very soon too...:cool1:

That's not always the case. Some servers will not allow you to use an adult credit on the kids' menu.

When does the change go into effect where you have to pay for the dining plan before you arrive?

I believe the Disney Files magazine said sometime in late summer, early fall.

My DVC member friend added the dining plan too our reservation and as of right now we pay when we check in....:goodvibes

I would be happy too pay before we arrive just too have it out of the way..So either way is fine with me....I have an envelope called Disney money and I am adding too it weekly....:woohoo: I have my Dad keep it locked in the safe at his house so I can not touch it.....

I told my DD she needs too be adventurous and order off the adult menu...She is excited that she gets too choose from the adult menu so this may inspire her. Boma and Ohana will be fine since it is a buffet.... We are thinking of eating a late lunch at Kona Cafe before MNSSHP so she will have too order from the menu there.

w/o the dining plan...we would split one table svc meal (since they are so large) and we would both get a counter svc & snack each of the 5 days......

200 table svc x 5 split meals ($40/each)
120 counter svc x 10 ($12/each)
40 snack x 10 ($4/each)
360 total not on dining plan (5 days)

420 dining plan for 2 (5 days)

to us, we believe it will be worth the $60 extra to get the plan and to not have to think about how much each meal is. plus on the plan, we each get our own entree that we could share with each other and double the meals we each try.

I understand...We are planning a couple meals at Boma and Ohana and we can not split so we are looking at almost $70 for 2 people just at Ohana for dinner...
So $126 per person for our stay seems pretty good and you are right we won't have too worry about it....

We just love too eat at WDW...So this may be a pretty good value for us in the end.

We are checking in on Wed morning and out on Saturday..So we will use our last sit down credit on Saturday morning...I have too call for ADR's in a couple weeks. Thursday we plan too do Food & Wine and not use a sit down credit that day...
