Adding days to a ticket

Does anyone know how much it would cost to add a day to a ticket once you are already at Disneyland? I was thinking about buying a 3 day ticket to add a rest day into the vacation but then what if when we get there we decide that we want another day. Does anyone know how this would be handled? Can I just add a day for the difference of the 3 to 4 day ticket at the ticket booth or would I have to buy a one-day ticket?

Anyone with any experience in this?

To be honest I am not sure. But I know you are able to upgrade your tickets so my guess is that you will have to pay the difference between the "gate price" for the 4 day hopper and what you paid for the 3 day hopper. So in the end it might be cheaper to buy an additional one day or to just go with the 4 day to begin with.
