Adding days after the FD booking window

We decided to switch from CBR to BC for our October vacation, and I was only able to book 10/25-10/30 as opposed to our original dates of 10/25-11/1. If a room opens up at the BC for 10/31-11/1, will I have FD for those nights, even if it opens up after the FD booking window expires? Thanks!

In 2012 when I added a couple extra nights to our FD trip, I had to do it as a split stay and I was unable to extend my free dining.

I figured if I have to do the last two nights as a split I will loose FD for the second resort. I'm hoping rooms will open up 10/31-11/1 at BC and we can tack them on to our existing FD package. Thoughts?

I wanted to add nights to an existing reservation. I didn't change resorts. I still couldn't get free dining for the dates I added.

Yes, you can keep checking back to see if your dates become available *after* FD expires.

Per the CM I spoke with yesterday, if I add dates they can be rolled into the FD package. She didn't inspire a ton of confidence in me with the other questions I had, so I'm not 100% sure I trust this info. I'm hoping the fact that the system is down means there is about to be an influx of resort and restaurant ressies dumped in. A package and ADR I'd been searching for suddenly appeared earlier this week when they were down. Fingers crossed!

I was on my phone last night, so I had a hard time typing out details...

You can book the last 2 nights (10/30 & 10/31) as a split/separate reservation, but not as FD. FD requires a 3 night minimum. Also, additional FD reservations (or splits) must be booked by tomorrow when FD ends.

..."rolled into the FD package,"...umm, let me explain: a GS CM can modify your dates on an existing FD reservation. However, they will have to access the FD pool in the system; plug in your exact dates (like a new reservation), and your exact dates must show availability. They can't just tack on days. Does that make sense?

For example:
10/25 - 11/2 may show availability.
10/30 - 11/2 may show availability.
10/25 - 11/1 may not.

Exact dates must show availability in order to qualify for modifications.

They used to be able to easily trim off days without plugging exact dates into the system, but they don't do that anymore.

So unless BC becomes available by tomorrow for you to easily modify yourself online, it will take a little effort to keep calling and checking back.

I hope this answers your question :)

That's extremely helpful, thank you. I was able to secure a studio at BCV for all 7 nights, which at least covers our needs. Whew. I'm going to hang onto the regular BC ressie because having the daybed makes it much easier to get the kids to sleep, but your info helped me to figure out that I needed to make sure we had some guaranteed way to cover all our days. Thank you!

Even though the offer expires tomorrow they can still make modifications because you are already booked under the promotion. I bet once you get closer to the 45 day mark you will see rooms opening up because people are canceling.
