Hi everyone,

We have a package booked through Thomas Cook for 2 weeks at CBR, dining plan and tickets included. We want to add another adult to our room for 1 week (this adult is me and I will be visiting my parents in WDW just for the 2nd week!). We phoned Disney UK to add me to the room as in the past we have been able to do this at an additional charge which we paid to Disney at check-in.

However Disney UK told us to talk to Thomas Cook as that's who we have booked with. We talked to Thomas Cook and they say you cannot add an additional person to your room as that additional person MUST also be added to the full booking (so the additional person must also be booked for the full 2 weeks, same flights, tickets, dining - everything!! but of course I'd be booking my own flights just for the 2nd week and so that wouldn't work).

Is there any way around this? Thomas Cook were extremely unhelpful. We don't really know what else to do except shell out for another room but this will be much more expensive and seems a bit silly when we have a resort room already which can hold at least 2 more adults.

Thanks

You can be added to the room when you arrive but you won't get any dining and would need to sort your own tickets. As you have booked through TC you are stuck with their terms for adding you to the booking.

Other than that is is a separate room.

If you buy your own flights and tickets and pay for food precisely no one will know you are in the room. It's not allowed of course. I doubt you would be the only person breaking that particular rule.
