Our adult son will be joining us for part of our Disney trip. We are retired and stay two weeks at a time. He works so he will be joining us for a few days mid-trip. We have a room only reservation at the Boardwalk Inn. What is the procedure for adding him for the days he will be with us? I know there is an upcharge for an additional adult.

Are you staying on DVC points? If you're DVC, there would be no upcharge for an additional adult. It probably wouldn't hurt to put him on the room the entire time, but that's up to you. You could also probably work out the specifics at the front desk when he arrives. They could make sure it's all straight.

If you're not DVC and are staying in a cash room, I apologize because it's been too long since we've paid cash for our room (we're DVC) and I'm not sure about an upcharge situation. Enjoy your time! It's great he can join for a couple days!

We are not DVC members. But thanks for the response. Hopefully, someone will know the answer.

Simply go to the front desk on the day your son will arrive and add him to your reservation. I would then go back to the front desk on the day he leaves to remove him so you won't be charged the extra adult fee for more than the nights he is actually staying with you.

I have reservations at WL in November for an adult granddaughter and myself. Just added the other adult granddaughter to the standard room and had to pay an additional $35 per day.

Thank you for the information. That is what I had in mind. Will he have any issues making park reservations? That is another concern.

We are staying at Fort Wilderness so another person isn't a problem. But... I bought tickets for my son and girl friend as soon as I knew they would be joining us for part of the trip. Then I called tech support for My Disney Experience to get them added to my reservation. Then I could make park reservations for them at the same park we are going to without waiting and worrying if it would fill up. I also then made a couple dining reservations for them.
