We have ten days booked for September with a free dining package, we just found out our daughter may join us for four days at some point during the trip. Can we add her to our room once we get there and just pay for her dining and tickets or do we need to add her for our whole trip? We will need to use magical express for her as well. TIA

You can add her at any time as long as adding her doesn't exceed the occupancy limits for the room. If she will be arriving after you, you can add her at check in for just the nights she will be there and pay for her meals/tickets separately. You can then arrange DME for when she arrives. If she will be arriving with you, she will need to be added to the reservation prior to arrival in order to use DME. In this case, she would need the same number of ticket days as everyone else in the room. In addition, if she is over 17 and there are 2 adults already in the room, you will be charged an extra adult fee for the number of nights she's there (or for all nights if she's added to the reservation now).

Thanks great answer.

I know its possible to add her and get free dining which would save quite a bit. However, since she is only staying 4 of the nights can she buy a 4 day park ticket while the others have 10? If not, could be cheaper anyways as the FD could be worth more than the cost of adding extra park ticket days.

As Mickeynut posted, if you add her prior to your arrival so that she can get free dining her tickets will have to be the same as everyone else on the package. If you wait and add her after your arrival she will not get free dining, but she can purchase her ticket separately for whatever number of days she wants.

Maybe you could add her to the reservation and change everyones tickets to four day tickets. Then upgrade everyone elses tickets to ten days at the park?

I would add her with the four day ticket and drop everyone else to four days as well (since they all have to match.) Then I would up all of the other tickets to ten days once you get there. That way you get free dining for her as well, and can even use her extra credits (the ones she won't be there for) for an extra meal for those who will be there the longest.

The only problem with dropping everyone to 4 day passes is that the OP will only be able to book 4 day FPs.

Op, we ran into the same issue on our last trip and just added my parents to the entire reservation...10 day passes with FD. We had 11 nts booked and they arrived on the 4th night. It was just cheaper that way @ $440 pp (not bad compared to oop for 4 day ticket & food). This, again, allowed us to book 10 day FPs. You can use the extra credits to book 2 TS, if needed.

Agree with doing it this way. It's only a difference of $75 to get her 10 day tickets with PH vs 4 day tickets with PH ($394 vs $469). The extra meals are worth well more than that.

We had someone booked on a previous trip who decided at the last minute she could not get on a plane. We used her credits to upgrade to signature restaurants.
