Adding a day question

We are going to Disney in December and debating about whether to go 5 or 6 days. We will be buying our tickets through the military discounted prices so no tax and I believe slightly discounted. If we buy 5 days and then when we get down there decide to buy a 6th day, will we just have to pay the $8 plus tax for the 6th day, or will we have to pay tax on the full 6 days? I want to make sure we do it correctly. Thanks for the help!

You had better buy the six day tickets. The pre-discount price is $8.00 per ticket per day. We cannot upgrade the miltary-discounted MYW tickets at the ticket or Guest Relations windows because of the tax ramifications, and they cannot do upgrades at SoG.

Ok, I just want to make sure I understand. So we will be buying the discounted tickets for military and DoD civilians (not the Salute tickets) --basically no tax, so you're saying that Disney is unable to add a day to these tickets. Correct? Thanks for the help!

That is correct. If you came to my window I would not be able to upgrade those tickets. The sales tax on a 5-day base ticket is $16.32. Because no sales tax was charged, the ticketing system will not allow an upgrade.
