Adding a day..Opinions please

OK. I wasn't sure exactly where to post this as it involves a few different subjects. I currently have ressies at WL for Sept. 1-8. Airfare thru Spirit (the cheapest) just opened up. It (the air) would actually be 90.00 cheaper (30.00 x 3) if we left on August 31, 2005. If I could stay somewhere for that first night that was less than the 90.00 I would come out saving plus getting an extra day. I'm not sure where to stay though. If I add one night to WL it's not value season yet (and certainly not under 90.00). We are getting our first AP's for this trip so even if I stayed off property we could go get our vouchers activated and still go to the parks. There are 3 of us, me, DH and DD(who will be 13 by then) and we will have a rental car. What do you guys think?

For one night I would stay at a value or a moderate. With an AP they're usually under $90 and you get the extra day.
