On the Podcast Cruise podcast this week, Pete mentioned an open house in the Walt and Roy Disney suites - so that people could have a chance to look around.
Here are a few pictures from our stay in the Walt Disney suite 4 years ago, when DD was 20 and DS was 17.
I've heard that the grand piano has since been removed from the suite -
sad, as the piano was the reason we picked the walt suite instead of the roy.
following are a few pictures, mostly from right after we boarded (i didn't take any pictures of the suite after that)....
DD and DS waiting to board the Wonder (in the DCL terminal at port canaveral).
The Wonder can be seen through the window behind them.
First few moments in the suite -
DD at the piano (while talking on the cellphone) -
still at Port Canaveral (another cruise ship can be seen through the verandah door)
from the piano into the dining room:
from the piano looking towards the entrance to the suite
from in front of the piano, looking at the living room, towards the library beyond (behind DS)...
DH, DD and DS partaking of the fruit basket we found when we arrived (DS on cellphone as we have not yet 'sailed away')
i think we're waiting at this point to head out for the lifejacket drill out on deck...
which was a lot of fun - our lifeboat captain kept yelling funny things at the other ship across from us
from the library, looking towards the master bedroom
watching from the verandah as we pull into Nassau
we stayed on board the ship in Nassau (we went into nassau on our first cruise and stayed on board for the 2nd one)....
in port, the crew had a life boat drill, where they actually dropped the boats into the water -
we watched the whole thing and found it both interesting and reassuring...
the bridge tour on the day at sea..
i have to find the castaway cay pictures - i know they're somewhere...
i guess i never took pictures of the master bath or the 2nd bath - too bad as they were very nice...
i'm also missing pictures of the 2nd bedroom and the kitchen, but you get the idea....
it's a very nice suite....
i would have been happy just hanging out there all day....
although there was too much to do everywhere else....
