Added a day on to our trip...where to stay?

We are saving $150 by coming in the night before our trip in October. We will arrive in Orlando at around 9pm on Saturday the 4th. I don't want to waste points for a Saturday night so does anyone have any ideas where to stay? Hubby says we should just stay somewhere near the airport but I would rather stay at Disney and use our annual pass for a discounted hotel rate.

I don't want to spend a ton because basically we will only be sleeping there and checking out first thing in the morning. We will have a rental car so we can stay anywhere.

When we have come in the night before we have just stayed at a Value or Moderate (there are 5 of us so we either need 2 rooms at a value or the trundle room at Port Orleans) Pop Century seems to be the more popular choice among the values since its newer.
You are flying in - are you taking the Magic Express or renting a car? If you are without a car another plus to staying onsite is that Disney will transport your luggage to the new resort for you - at least that is what I have heard - we've never actually had them do it for us.


Oops - I guess you do have a rental car - must have missed that when I read it the first time.

We are spending Saturday night at Port Orleans on an AP rate before our Sunday-Friday stay at AKV this August.

I'd recommend using hotwire.com and taking one of the good rates near Downtown Disney...

Right now you can get a 2.5 star hotel for $59 plus tax ($72 with).

We are staying at ASsports the night before we move to SSR. DGS9 is a sports nut and will love it there with the huge icons. We will use ME. I didn't want to spend a lot just for one night.

I agree with your husband. Priceline a 3* hotel in the MCO zone (they all have shuttles). Then in the am head to WDW bright and early. Your family will get more rest than driving over to WDW and arriving somewhere between 10 and 11pm.

I would call and see what rates are available for the values (POP in particular) By staying there, you could have bell services transfer your luggage to your next resort for you the next day.
