Add-ons at BWV...

I talked to my guide today who told me I could get points immediately for OKW or BWV, but not BCV. Has anyone done this recently? We are going to OKW in September and we'll decide at that time where to add on, but he made it sound like I could just call up and get them...I did notice on the "waiting for add-on" post that no one is listed for any resort other than BCV...

If you already own a DVC contract, you can "just call up and get them" as long as they have your use year in that resort. BCV is a much smaller resort, so there are probably much fewer points available there for Disney to sell at any given time.

At least 2 reasons that I can see, less availablity to begin with.

And more BWV and OKW contracts seem to get bought back then BVC.

Since there are more BWV & OKW contracts out there, more get to the resale market and more get ROFR'd by DVD.

Less BCV contracts, more demand than supply, higher asking sale prices to begin with, and more chances that the resale contract will pass ROFR, so less DVD inventory from exercising ROFR.

Came in one day at BWV a week ago. It was a nice surprise as it is taking forever at BCV.

Let's face it, Disney can't make much money off a resale at BCV, since they are going for about $86 on the resale boards. I think that is another reason why there are not many points at BCV being offered for add-ons.
