Add-on.....

This has probably been asked before, but here goes.

We bought into VWL last year, been to WL a few times before that and fell in love with the place.(but willing to try others)

Thinking now of adding on 100 points, we've 200 @ VWL.

Where do you suggest ? ...... at VWL(if possible) or at BCV.

HELP !!!!!

Hi there,

We to live in Scotland near Elgin and we also have the Wilderness lodge as our home resort. We considered adding on last week and managed to add another thirty points to our total. We have a August use year and because we get 2001 points at VWL we chose to add there.


Whichever you chose it will be great.

I love having points at more then one resort... I love being able to make the reservation at the 11 month window for either (soon hopefully 3 resorts BCV). I loved that thread on being a "snowbird" Been playing around with staying at 3 different resorts , 12 days (only one weekend) at each with a few weekends visiting relatives at Palm Beach and Tampa when we retire. Would be fun to stay at differnt hotels over a 2 month period. If you think you would like to stay at BCV every couple of years I would say go for it.... If you only want to stay at WLV then add on there..

We originally purchased our first points at VWL, and we too had to make the same decision. We decided to add on at VWL, we thought it was the right thing to do for us.

I'd say it depends on how many points you plan to add on.

We've just added 25 VWL points to our existing VWL allocation. I thought about adding at a different resort, but having only 25 points elsewhere would mean the most we'd ever have at that resort to use at the 11 month window would be 75 (with banking and borrowing) - not enough to make it worthwhile for us. If you plan a big add-on then you could have enough points at another resort to make it worthwhile for an 11 month booking.

To make things easier, I added those 25 points in the same use year at the same resort.
