Okay all,

I'm debating on getting an additional 100-130pts at VWL or should I buy into BCV for around the same amount of points?

It would be nice to have the 11month window at BCV....but we travel in late October mostly...so I'm not sure how hard it would be to book at 7-months.

We did this last year and we could barely scape up a studio for 4nights....we had to split at OKW for 4nights.

We loved BCV and the proximity of the parks (HS & EPCOT)...plus all the activities within walking distance at the Boardwalk.

Gimme your thoughts and opinions please....thanks in advance.

:yay:

Oct would be Food & Wine Festival time at Epcot. If you plan on staying at BCV during that time, would would really need to use 11 month booking window.

I personally would do BCV, which is a small resort and high in demand. The basic test is whether you would be really, really disappointed if you could not stay there. The Food and Wine Festival in Oct makes it really an in-demand spot if that is the time you want to vacation regularly. Also, as more BLT, AKV and other new DVC resorts sell, it will be harder and harder to get what you want at 7 months.

If your love is WLV at Christmas time, then you should buy there for the home resort advantage. Your post did not say why you wanted WLV. As you mentioned solely BCV, buy there.

Figure what points you need depending if it is a yearly stay or if you can get away with banking and borrowing for less frequent travel.

Enjoy!

We own at both, with VWL coming first because that's our favorite resort. When we take family during the warmer months, we like to stay at BCV and it's the fact that there are so few dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 Q's available that made us decide to buy at BCV to assure that sort of villa. It's worked for us.

Thanks Erionm....you are right, the F&W Fest makes a huge difference if we travel in October, typically.

Oh, yes the more resorts, more demand....you're correct!!!!

Sorry, we have points at VWL currently...it's our home....but we stayed at BCV in Oct. 08 and loved it.

I'd like to do two trips per year.....October and May....hopefully!!! :thumbsup2
Enjoy!

Thanks all....you've opened my eyes......we currently have the 2009 Oct. stay booked already at VWL....hopefully BCV again in 2010.

Thanks again,
Bfrosty
