My UY is August. Say I add on today, would I get the 2008 (current UY) points plus then once coming in 2009?

It depends upon where you add-on. If the resort (or part of the resort where your unit is) doesn't open until August or later,then you won't get '08 pts.

yes, but not at BLT. Since BLT wasn't open in Aug. 2008, there was no points available then.

We added-on at Kidani Village this past September, (we have an August use year) and we did NOT get August 2008 points even though we purchased in September 2008.

AKV Kidani doesn't open until May 1, 2009( I think). You wouldn't recieve points until your Aug. 2009 UY.

That's really odd. We added on in January at Kidani... we have a Dec use year and we did receive 2008 points, however that cannot be used until 5/1/09.

We had originally been told that we would get 8/2008 points, but when the contract came, it showed our points starting at 8/2009. The explanation was something about no 8/2008 points left - didn't really pay attention to the details because I was pretty twisted - but our guide came up with an acceptable solution. Our incentive for the add-on was matching developer points, so our guide arranged for us to get double the matching developer points and "unrestricted" them so we could use them anywhere at the 7 month mark (we did have to use them within a year)

You probably received them because Kidani opens within your use year, when I added on, I have a Feb use year so I didn't get the 08 points, I got the 09 points but again I can't ue them until after May 1 2009.
