:thumbsup2 I just need some clarification here.....if my intial contract was for the month of March (we happened to be down there at the time of purchase) and I add on 100 point to my existing points.....does that mean I automatically have those points for March? or in this case if I purchased today.....would that mean they wouldn't load up until August every year? do the add on points expire at the same time as the intial contract (2004)....just look for clarification.....thanks:thumbsup2

When you do an add on through Disney, your subcontracts (the add on contracts) have the same UY as your master contract and are titled the same. If there are 2008 UY points for March left, you'd get those and they usually let you back them even if you are beyond your banking deadline, since you are a purchasing customer.

I asked this question on another thread, but it seems to me that if a member added on and got 2008 AKL points in addition to developer points, that is an extra years worth of AKL points (better deal than those who only get points beginning in 2009). Is this correct?

The expiration is based on the resort owned. Points owned at OKW expire in 2042 unless the contract was extended to 2057. VB, HH, BWV, VWL and BCV all expire on January 31, 2042. SSR contracts expire in 2054 and AKV (and the extended OKW contracts) will expire on January 31, 2057.

If the add-on contract has a later expiration date, it would continue even though the original master contract has already expired.

Thanks Doc....that makes perfect sense....well off I go to contact my guide and make this thing happen....:thumbsup2

Yes it is and that is why I passed an an AKV this past Wednesday. My guide told me there were no AUG 08 points left and that I would get mine AUG 2009. I knew that other UY buyers got 2008 points so I reluctantly passed on the add on. I gave a deposit to be put on a waitlist. I am assuming those who got 2008 points bought JAMBO HOUSE and that the 2009 points will be for KIDANI.

Some of the first people to purchase Kidani Units got 2008 UY points. Given how little overlap there is for say a June '08 or Aug '08 UY with the May 1, 2009 occupancy date for those Units, they probably didn't have many '08 points available.
