We currently own 150 pts at SSR and want to add on another 50 pts somwhere. Had mores or less decided on VWL to add on as we both fell in love with the hotel in Nov, felt so relaxed there and loved the cosy theming of it. Minus point was although the pool is nice, it's not amazing for a deluxe resort (just my personal opinion of course). Plus as well with the rumoured Contemporary DVC, will VWL be easier to get 7 month reservations at? (just thinking ahead really).

A very close second to add on is BCV. Stunning hotel again, much much better pool and fantastic location to boot. Also I'm sure I read somewhere that BCV is the most difficult hotel to get reservations at at the 7 month window, not sure if this true or not?

Stayed at both in November and loved both but for different reasons. :)

So what's more important do you think hotel itself or location?

Can't quite decide.

Also would we be best trying to buy resale or going direct with Disney?

Any advice would be great. Thanks

I suggest an add on of 50 points at each!!!! Or, why not do 25 points at each and bank/borrow to have 75 points every three years, or bank and use each one every other year for 50 points.

In DVC, there's almost always a way to have your cake and eat it, too...

Because we can only afford to add on 50-60 points max at one resort and want to have enough at one resort to be able to bank and book 6 consecutive days at a home resort at the 11 months window.

I'd love to buy 50 at each but don't really need that many as we only go every 18 months-2 years because of the flight prices.

We have added on points at the resorts where we want to stay. Regarding VWL and BCV, we own 175 VWL, and 140 BCV. Of the two, I much prefer VWL, but BCV is where I want to stay for Flower and Garden. :goodvibes I have always had "luck" booking 1-2 studios for a F&G stay in May, but now that we have DGC and extended family who will be joining us in WDW more often, I don't want to do a 7 month change over, plus with the DGC, we really wanted the dedicated 2 bedroom with 2Qs in the 2nd bedroom, and that's much harder to get at BCV because there are only about 25 of them. At VWL, every dedicated 2 bedroom has the 2Q set up.

Last summer, we added on 100 BCV, but in December, we realized we would need more. I think 140 will do our family fine. We're taking them in November this year, before thanksgiving, (I have TRIED my hardest to convince the family to let me change that to VWL, but they are holding firm.:) ) Then, in '09 we're doing another family BCV vacation before our 3 night DCL cruise, and that extends to Memorial weekend!!!! So, next year, we double up that vacation, the Flower and Garden, and the pre/post cruise stay at BCV. We're borrowing of course. I had banked ALL of the 140 that we added on.

Also, I love the villa pool at VWL! (you mentioned not liking the pool, so we differ there) The little springs in the pool, they are a small touch, but it really makes me smile:goodvibes Plus, when I'm in the villa whirlpool, surrounded by all of the tall evergreens and I look at the villas, my heart just overflows. I am a die hard VWL groupie!! I love the other resorts very much, but they ALL take the second place to VWL:love:

Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. Regarding, BCV, I love the lazy river part of SAB. I also love the quiet villa pool and the view of the canal from a studio we had overlooking it once.

PPS. So, in answer to your question...my vote is for the resort that you like best! Can you decide that?
