We are excited about going to Disneyland and seeing the differences in the two. Now if I could just make up my mind and get hotel reservations made!

We will be there June 9-13. Right now it is my two boys who are six years old, DH and myself. A friend of ours might come down for a day or so and then we are all going back up to her town. We decided that the boys need to see some place other than Florida. LOL that's my excuse for booking a three day Disney cruise for January too! :rotfl:

Looks like I have a lot of board reading to do but wanted to say hello first!

You'll LOVE it! Welcome! :cheer2:

Read scrappinmom's trip report in the DLR trip reports forum. Great pictures!

I'm heading back to WDW this year- been many times- but I love it there as well! The difference for me is that I feel more spontaneous at DLR. I don't have to decide what to do so far in advance. Aside from character meals (and not always even then!!) I don't make reservations at DL. I get worried that with having to make so many ADRs at WDW, it will kind of take the fun out of it for us. What if I don't want to leave this park to go eat at this time? What if we're not hungry then? What if we're "done" at this park and want to head back to the hotel or another park, but have to hang around to eat? Don't get me wrong- I love the variety of restaurants that WDW has to offer. I just wish it hadn't changed so much in the last 5 years, that I can't tour it the way we used to. I would totally blow off ADRs (except for character meals) but I understand there it is very difficult to get sit down service anywhere at any time anymore without advance reservations.

To me, that's the difference- more the experience in how you tour the parks today.

You will have a wonderful time. We are regulars to WDW and went on our first adventure to DLR last June. We are booked again this year. Of course I too still love WDW, but I love the simple things about DLR. It is so much easier to get around and so nice to not have to plan so far ahead of time. I can't wait to hear all about it when you get home.
