Adam and Katies 10/2/2010 SBP/Attic/?? ~ brainstorming!

I think the earrings are great! They are so pretty and I agree that they are just enough and you can still wear a necklace with them if you want. Can't wait to see what the shoes look like after you've put the rhinestones on them!

oh they are so pretttty....that is tough about buying online...even with measurements i dont know how much it helps lolol

i think that if they sparkle enough it should be enough ...they are really pretty and i think they are statement enough

Ok good! it helps getting other peoples opinions! :thumbsup2

Yooza those shoes are big! I'd fall flat on my face in those. More power to you! Love the cute hairpiece and I definitely think the earrings will be enough. Are you wearing a necklace? They are very sparkly and pretty.

I'm not wearing a necklace (as of now) alot of them that i've found look too prom-ish. if i can find something simple that will go with these earrings i might but we'll see. DF saw the shoes and hes alittle bummed at how tall i'll be but he'll still be about an inch or two taller than me so he can just deal! :rotfl:

Everything is great hun! The shoes are great (I can't wear heels so :thumbsup2 to you) I really like the clip its super cute and looks really good in your hair. I think the earring with look very nice, I don't think they need to be very big. I think they will be just enough. You did very good

where did you buy the earrings? i can't remember if you said :rolleyes1

The link is a few pgs back in my PJ but if you google wedding factory outlet its the first link that comes up! :thumbsup2

Yeh for AKV, that's great, that was our second choice, but we went with BWV instead, but I think we are going to do some of our honeymoon shoot there.

You're not alone with the anxiety, I think everyone goes through it, I know I have  you just have to remember that it is about you and DFi and everything will be okay. I probably felt the same way about my father as you seem to feel about inviting your mother. I did send my dad an invite, but knew he would never come since he won't fly and you can't really get to PR otherwise. His loss.

Bless you for the heels, I could never do it, they look nice though. The flower looks really nice as well! I like the earrings, I think they look just right on your ear and if they are sparkly they should be just fine IMO.

Thanks hun!

I guess i'm getting the best of both worlds by staying at both AKV and BWV

Yea my whole mom situation has been an on going thing since i was a sophmore in high school. there has been more than one milestone in my life that she has caused problems with and this is not one of them that i'm going to let her ruin! :snooty: Its wierd, its like a jekyl and hyde thing with her so we'll see, as time gets closer i'll make my decision.

Anywho i'm glad you like what i got, believe me the shoes aren't that bad, i wore them around my house yesterday and did pretty good. :thumbsup2

I think we all share in your wedding anxiety!! It's kind of difficult when you invest some much time and effort into an event like this, not to freak out at all. :rotfl2: So really, I think you're doing a great job to keep it under control! Besides, I'm (and the other girls I'm sure!) here should you need to vent anytime!

Your shoes are SO pretty! I can't wait to see them all prettied up with the pink rhinestones!!! And honestly, I think the earrings are perfect! They look really nice on your ear. I think anything more and it might be a tad gaudy. The hair accessory is cute too! :thumbsup2

Anj, you're a doll!

you're so right, we spend so much time and effort into this because its a one time thing (hopefully :rolleyes1) and we want it to be everything we ever dreamed of. so having bridezilla moments is understandable. I'm just trying to keep it to a minimum.

i'm glad you like the shoes i can't wait to start covering them with the rhinestones! :woohoo: I'm glad you like the earrings and hair accessory!

I think the earrings are great! They are so pretty and I agree that they are just enough and you can still wear a necklace with them if you want. Can't wait to see what the shoes look like after you've put the rhinestones on them!

Thanks girly! :cutie:

Everything as far as what i'm wearing seems to be falling into place so thats out of the way! :upsidedow

Oh Katie everything looks beautiful!! The shoes are cute but I LOVE the hairpiece and earrings. I think as long as your hair is kinda swept back, the earrings are perfect!!!

:banana::woohoo:

Thanks Mandy! I love the headpiece too, i held it up to my dress and it matches perfectly. I think your right about the earrings, as long as my hair is pulled back enough to see them it should be fine. :)

so i know its further down the road but burlington mall has the disney store opening august 18th :cool1:

still no info on when peabody is :confused3......

(random post i know..lol) but i wanted to keep you updatd!!

I was thinking about you when I heard about the new attic minimums, and since you posted about it on my PJ, I thought I would share with you the info my planner gave me:

The Attic ~ Disney’s BoardWalk Resort:

The food and beverage minimum for events ending prior to 5:00 p.m. is $1,000.00 (exclusive of wedding cake, service charges and sales tax). For all events ending after 5:00 p.m. the food and beverage minimum is $2,500.00 (exclusive of wedding cake, service charges and sales tax). Combining indoor and outdoor seating, the maximum seating capacity is 36 guests. Maximum overall capacity for the venue is 50 guests. Existing seating must be utilized and entertainment must conclude by 9:00 pm. All events must conclude by 10:00 pm. Menus are buffet style only. This venue does not have a dance floor, and use of entertainment will decrease capacity. Amplified entertainment is not available for use in this location due to proximity to resort guest rooms. Background style music and non-amplified entertainment is permissible.

Hope that helps!!! Let me know if you talk to DF about it!!! I really think it is a place boys like! My DF almost died (in a good way) when he saw it....and he is a "guy" guy.

i love the attic- Waynes only problem with it is the seating arrangements- he thinks 4 people to a table doesnt allow guests to mingle and it means that we will have to choose who we want on a table with us- and we dont want a sweetheart table.. so i suggested that it is a sit whereever you like thing, but he again thinks that will make everyone go in their usual groups and if someone doesnt have an allocated seat he thinks it will make the guests think that its a not so formal event (he wants placecards ect!) so i can see where he is coming from .

BUT

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the view. Absolutely LOVE the view- after seeing Tonis photos of the boardwalk and Attic from the balcony at night i fell in love with it.

But who knows, we might have the attic .. we might not... :confused3

Thank you VERY much for the info! :worship:

I have a question for you actually.... As a fellow "escape" bride do you think having your after ceremony meal at the attic is kind of like having a pretend reception? I told DF about it and showed him the pictures but he feels like it'll look like we're trying to have a big wedding when we're not. (GOD he so negative!!!!) How do you and your DF feel about the whole thing?

Oh and one more thing.... what time are you hoping to get married? we're hoping to do either the 10am or the 12:30, do you think that having a lunch after the ceremony will be enough or do you think our guests are going to think we're terrible for not feeding them dinner? Are you facing the same problems?

Thanks for the input stacey! I love the attic to... its very casual yet classy! :cloud9:
I kind of like that the tables only seat four... it'll make it look like we have more people hahahah :rotfl2:
we might do some sort of little place cards but i think after everyone eats they'll all kind of mingle and stuff anyway but it is definitely something to think about

Your welcome :goodvibes
I think it is considered a casual reception. I don't think it looks like a big wedding thing at all!! That was why we wanted the Attic, the whole point was we didn't want a ballroom like St.James or Whitehall. I always look at Lurkyloo's trippie (and maybe you can show your DF) and to me it just looks like a casual fun brunch!

Oh and one more thing.... what time are you hoping to get married? we're hoping to do either the 10am or the 12:30, do you think that having a lunch after the ceremony will be enough or do you think our guests are going to think we're terrible for not feeding them dinner? We are doing a noon ceremony. We are doing a brunch or lunch, not sure yet. And no, I don't feel bad about not giving them dinner :rotfl: Here are my reasons
1) It is DF's and my choice what we want to serve
2) The lunch menus are HUGE anyway, and I am already planning on cutting food out of them.
3) I have lived with pretty much all of these people at one point, so I know their eating habits. (Okay, I haven't lived with all of them, but 3 are old roomates, I live with DF, and 2 of his friends are his old roomates, and I used to sleep over a lot before we lived together).

I do feel a bit bad, cause we are not planning on serving alcohol at lunch, which might be awkward, because literally everyone going except my mom is a pretty heavy drinker (wow, we sound great, don't we??). But we are having a dessert party at night with an open bar.

From what I remember of Disney, portions are HUGE, and everytime I had a buffet lunch, I didn't eat dinner. They will be fine. If not, they can buy themselves a sandwich at night :rotfl:

He said YES!!!!!

So after getting all of the information I could about The attic I decided that tonight at dinner i would try one more time to convince DF that a private "after ceremony" meal would be a good idea. Here are a few of the good points i made at dinner tonight....

:teacher:

1.) The attic is not like the St. James room which is kind of "function hall-esque" and it is not FF which is (as DF puts it) an abandoned restaurant
2.) After asking the girls on the wedding boards i learned that DF CAN infact have whatever he wants to eat!! :woohoo: (even though lurkyloo said the new york strip wasn't that great :rolleyes1)
3.) It has amazing views of SBP and SSE as well as the BWV/BC/YC
4.) Because the attic can only do buffet style meals everyone will be able to stuff themselves silly and not need a big dinner so we shouldn't feel that bad about letting them fend for themselves.
5.) Since it will be right after the ceremony once its over and everyone wants to go back to their hotels and change for the parks they dont have to worry about meeting up again until Illuminations.

After making all of these points i showed DF the pictures of the attic and how there is seating outside but that its underneath an awning (idk if you's call it an awning or a roof but w.e) He LOVES the idea of being out there and since there are 5 tables of 4 it should be easy to get everyone out there. So DF said "Go for it! I love it!" Which i then followed up with the obviouse "are you sure?" and he replied "1000% sure!" :dance3::yay::woohoo::banana::cheer2::cool1:

I haven't been able to stop smiling or jumping up and down! He keeps laughing at me  I can't wait to book this freakin wedding You have NO idea!!

And also another side not about how awesome Df is... a i mentioned before i was selling alot of stuff on ebay. One of the things i was selling was my clarinet that i've had since i was in 4th grade and joined the school band. (yea i know band geek alert) I was in band all through school and it meant alot to me. Once the bidding was over i had alittle melt down and cried because i'm a big baby and was loosing something that had alot of memories with it. Well today DF dropped everything off at the post office and i asked him where my clarinet was going. He said "no where" and took it out of the closet. He told the seller that it was a mistake he made and that it was mine and he put it on ebay by accident and that he couldn't sell it and refunded her the money. I was so happy i cried AGAIN. I couldn't believe he did that for me. He is awesome.

Alright well i'm going to go hang out with him for alittle bit, we DVRed the office reruns and cake boss so i'll talk to you ladies later! :woohoo: <----- this is me still jumping up and down and being psyched!

thats awesome about the attic :thumbsup2 im glad you guys were able to come up with a decision and you have good reasons for it!!!!

also thats so sweeet about the clarinet story! i love it!!!!

Thanks Meghan! I'm glad we are going to do it... its the perfect compromise, low key and casual with steak for DF, and a private meal thats kind of like a reception where i can still wear my wedding dress for me!

And i'm so happy about my clarinet... my sister used to call my squidward (like from spongebob) I'm so glad i didn't sell it.

That's great! Yeh for the attic, it sounds perfect, I love pictures I have seen of it. You gotta love when our DFi's surprise us :lovestruc

YAY!!! I told you boys like the Attic :rotfl:

Your ebay story is so sweet btw, it made me smile (and I am not in a smiley mood)

Yay! That's so exciting! I think it will be great to have something at the Attic after the reception. Aww, your DF is so sweet to do that for you with the clarinet!

Okay, seeing as I'm clueless on the WDW stuff - I had to go check this place out. It's so adorable! I see why you're so excited!! :woohoo: I am way extremely totally happy for you, sweetheart!

And how sweet of your DF to snatch back your clarinet! That's too cute.
