I know you have up to three days before cruise to cancel any Port Adventures or Onboard activities without incurring charges but what happens in the rare event you end up getting a Castawaycabana off the wait list on board? Would DCL allow you to cancel any snorkel or even say, a parasailing reservation because you are now spending on the cabana?

My guess would be not, unless they have a waiting list of other people hoping to take your place for those activities. Having a cabana does not prevent you from doing the activities.

During our Fantasy cruise, I had a jet ski excursion booked for my son and me, but when we actually got there, my son was too frightened to try it, so we backed out. Still had to pay, and I was okay with that.

Thank you. That's what I'm thinking. We rented a getaway package--snorkel, bike and tubing. It's not an overly expensive package anyway AND I'm not holding out hope for a cabana. Wishful curious thinking. :)

I'd suggest you cancel the getaway package. There's really no problem picking up snorkels/bikes/floats once on the island. At least in my experience.

The Getaway Package is about the price, not the availability, at least that's why we booked it. You can save over 20% than if booking each component separatey plus we got an additional 10% with our Disney Visa, making it an excellent deal. Not sure if that is OP's situation though.

We have gotten a cabana off the wait list about 3 times, twice we didn't find out till the day before (SB) The last time in January they called us before the sail away (FB) to see if we still wanted it.

Can you not book the getaway package once onboard?

Per "Know before you go" on the DCL website, it can be booked ahead or onboard before Castaway day.

I suspect the primary limitation in either case would be when time slots are available for the rays.
