I am very disappointed right about now. It all began when I found a interesting advertisement for Vistana VILLAGES at a website called My Resort Network. The timeshare ad was for a two bed/2 bath for $700. When I saw this I was shocked to see such a good rate because lately Vistana VILLAGES prices have skyrocketed. Anyway the website isn't really invloved during your rental. And by the way this was the first time I used a Timeshare rental website. Any hoo I contacted the person through e mail from the website. The person contacted me back asking for the dates I would like to stay at Vistana VILLAGES. I told her my dates. She sent me a document that required my credit card number, address and such. I was a little concerned even though I knew I would have to give my credit card info to a stranger. The price to confirm was $200 and later you could pay the rest, which is great for me. Afterwards she sent me a confirmation through email which had the dates I wanted, but not my resort choice or my name in the confirmation. The resort that was there was Sheraton Vistana RESORT. And the name in the confirmation was the name of the owner. When I saw this I was shocked and heated. A while ago before ad and confirmation I was informed that the Vistana Resort had a older and newer section. The resort was bigger with 7 pool and more than one fitness room. I am the type of person which likes a resort with everything in a walk distance. Which is why I love Vistana VILLAGES. I just had to go back to this place.
Anyway I had to contact this person and inform her that there has been a mistake.(which required me to make a long distance phone call out of county) I told her my problem with the name of the owner on the confirmation instead of mine. She responded saying that that was for the owners name and that I would be listed as a guest. Then I told her about the resort issue. She told me that her relative had made the ad for the wrong resort. She didn't know that there was two resort a Vistana villages and a Vistana resort. Then she told me that she would see what she could do about switching resorts. She told me that she hadn't charged my card yet.
Afterwards when I knew what resort I was going to. I remembered messages from message boards talking about newer and older sections. I wanted to know what section I was going to be in. I called Sheraton Resort and asked about the unit and I was told I was in the Fountain section. I went to tripadvisor.com and read views of the resort. I found a really troubling review. Someone had said the Fountain section was older and had a bit of a ROACH problem. I was very angry. I am hoping I can stop my credit card company from charging my card. Does anyone have reviews of the Fountain section of their own?
