I have read several threads that mention the possibility of an "accomodations upgrade" by registering a code online. If so, where and when are these codes made available? I have an existing November 09 online booked reservation and wonder if I have time to take advantage.

Chances are a code like this was sent out by Disney to random/specific people, so if you didn't get an e-mail with a code, then you can't do it.
