Just wondering if anyone there can comment on how this is affecting things? My cousin is there now but hasnt said anything about it.

I saw it on a blog I am subscribed to.

Feel sorry for those who were injured

Wow that is pretty bad. I hope everyone made it out ok. Accidents is the last thing you want to worry while on vacation. We had some friends that got in a horrible accident driving to WDW. Mom and 2 kids died and one lost an arm it was absolutely heart breaking.

Yikes. I hope the people involved are OK. And I hope they shore up those signs; not sure a car hitting one should take the whole thing down!

Fortunately, it seems like only one individual was taken to the hospital to the scene and that individual did not have any life-threatening injuries. Southbound traffic is being directed to the Epcot ramp. A number of other delays obviously going up and down World Drive today. If possible, I'd avoid it for the rest of the day.

Co-worker wife said hours and no traffic movement. Busses bringing food and water to folks stuck in cars. He told her to put car in 4-wheel drive and turn around. LOL. It's just bad that people can't get to the parks. I suggested maybe she can get to a monorail hotel. They are season pass holder so will just go home when they can get turned around.

It wasn't a really bad accident, at least in terms of human injury. World Drive was blocked for a short time. I was leaving Epcot shortly after the accident occurred, intending to go south on World Drive but was diverted north instead. No problem for me as I can get home either way. Traffic was at a standstill on the southbound side of world drive at that time.
