Accessing weather info from resort phone

Thought I read that you can access a weather info line from your resort phone. Has anyone ever used it? Is there cost involved? Rain and downpours never deter us, but I always do like to have an idea of the forecast.

You can always call disney info from your phone, no cost is involved for disney info, or do what I did, tune to the weather channel.
