We are booking our DVC next week and the only thing available is Accessible Room with Hearing. The other options were roll in shower and wheelchair accessible.

So my question is, Does this mean it has the guard rails near the toilet? Thanks

A hearing accessible room would have accommodations for those with hearing impairment -- probably flashing lights and possibly vibration for phone and fire alarm, also for the door. It may or may not have other accessible accommodations such as safety rails in the bathroom. I think if it's listed something like "accessible with hearing option" means it has accommodations for both the hearing impaired and some mobility needs. If it is simply listed as "hearing accessible" then it likely only has the hearing accommodations.

Enjoy your vacation!

This is what it states

Lake View, Florida Special Accessible Room with Option for Hearing Accessibility

I'm not sure why they use the term "Florida Special" but that is WDW's description of a room with grab bars at the toilet, lower toilet seat height, and an open bed frame. It should have a regular tub as opposed to a roll-in shower. The "option for hearing accessibility" will include the items noted previously.

We have stayed in a Florida accessible room. It does have a regular tub, not roll in shower. The toilet had grab bars.
