We are planning our first trip to Fort Wilderness in a camper and was wondering what the difference between the accessible and regular camper sites were. I assumed it was probably distance to specific bathrooms, but we have our own accessible bathroom in the camper. Is there something else that would make these sites different?

This is STRICTLY a guess, but seeing that each campsite is equipped with a grill and a picnic table, my guess would be that those are accessible to someone in a wheelchair.
From our experience, regular picnic tables with attached benches are not wheelchair friendly. Accessible picnic tables either have a spot without a bench or bench(es) csn be moved. Sand is not wheelchair friendly, so I would expect a paved path to things like the grill.

I‘d suggest contacting Disney to ask.

@SueM in MN makes a couple good points.

Other than that, I’ve never heard of accessible campsites at FW only for the Cabins. I did notice there is no specific description of the supposed-accessible campsites as for resort rooms. I couldn’t find one available, either, though I know FW runs no-vacancy nearly every night of the year so I don’t know if none available is because they are booked or don’t actually exist.

Puzzling...I’ll have to keep an eye on that to see if something develops.
