Hello! I leave tomorrow for Disneyland with my mother. My mother is able to walk and stand just fine, but she cannot handle flights of steps due to knee issues. She can do a few steps at a time, but not more than that or it will destroy her knee.

Is this something we would need a disability pass for? Or would we just tell cast members at the rides that we would need to use an elevator? I'm thinking of things like the Frozen show in the theater, California Screamin', Space Mountain, Big Thunder, etc.

You'd just tell them at each ride and they'll have a procedure where you either use the accessible entrance or go through the regular queue until you need to bypass the stairs.

This. Every ride that has stairs also has an elevator or alternate boarding area. Just mention it to the CM closest to the ride boarding area.
