last night I was watching a "birth story" show.

Normally I cant watch them because A) I hate to see other women in pain and B) I really feel like our family is complete the way it is and I dont really want to be pregnant again. ( just my feelings) C) even if I did, ( barring an act of God) it almost certainly a medical impossibility

Anyway, I was watching it and I started to feel this strange feeling... it took me awhile and then I figured it out! it was
" mommy want" and double  :eek:You know the feeling you get when you look at a baby and think " awwww I want one"

shhhh don't tell my dh he would NOT be a happy camper.

Does anyone else get the "mommy want" ?

umm..no! I look at the little newborns in the store or other places, and look at them ooh and aahhh and then its out of my system.

My kids are all finally in full day school, and now I'm going back to college. I'm excited that will work for me.

Yes, and then my daughter starts repeating the same question over and over and over and over to get my attention and my son bites me...usually ends the feeling pretty quick. ;)

:teeth:

I would get a puppy or kitten if I were you binny. ;)

I'm a bit past that feeling now. My DD is almost 15 and my DS is almost 13.

I have a 20 month old neice who I am delighting in and getting all my "baby fixes" with her.

What bothers me now is that when I go to the gyn for a check up, she never fails to tell me that at my age it's risky to get pregnant

Hey, I'm only 42! Thanks Lady ;)

I have the WORST baby fever!! And I'm not allowed to have one for another three years! I keep trying to convince DH to get me a kitten - same thing, right? - but he thinks two cats are enough.

What I really need is a friend who has a baby that I can borrow whenever I get the baby fever.

I've had mommy fever a bit too much.. LOL

After first was born via Csec I wanted one right away so I could have a natural birth (went on to have 3 unmedicated ones, then a number 4 turned sideways and wasn't going down the chute so 2nd csec for me). I had mommy fever really bad for number 4... my youngest was going to kindergarden and I wanted a baby SO bad.... well he's 8 now :p

My last baby is with my new (and improved) DH.. :teeth:

After 5 babies, I'm not sure I will ever get baby fever again..my best friend has a 9 month and old and am FINALLY at the point where I can hold him, and be glad I can hand him back!!

Thats how I normally am Melora, I have not felt this in about 5 years lol.

It was passing, Im sure, and probably a reaction to all the medication Im taking ;)

Maybe its just that all 3of my kids will be in school ( preschool and grade school) this year and Im feeling it lol.

Ive always wanted to adopt a needy child. For some reason I have always wanted to adopt from Russia. Dh wouldnt go for it though :(

*sigh*

binny.... I just posted about adopting from Russia... LOL... then read your reply... Don't know if my hubby will go for it either, but maybe one day

I have it pretty bad right now. My dd is 3 almost 4, and she's already telling everyone at day care "my mommy has a baby in her tummy". So I go to pick her up the other day, and all of the teachers are telling me congratulations! I'm not pregnant!!!! She really wants a baby brother or sister to play with, can you tell? Anyway, we're not actively trying, (but not trying to prevent it either!) because we have this huge family reunion in WDW next year that I've been planning FOREVER it seems, and I don't want to get there and not be able to ride anything! Sooo, I can get pregnant until the end of Sept. and be o.k., but after that, it's gonna have to wait until after this trip!!!
(I know it's a sickness, planning your next baby around a WDW trip, lol!)

I haven't had that feeling in a while. I was able to babysit for a friend ealrier this year (her son was 3 months when I started) and I was so glad that my son is older. DS turned 13 in July.

When Jim's sister has a baby in February, all I could think of was "So glad is isn;t me"

But, I do know what you mean......I have had those feelings in the long ago past.

I went through a period where I had baby fever. My guys were about 4 & 5 at the time. I would lay awake at night thinking about it. Then one day it hit me. I only had these thoughts/feelings when my boys were sleeping! :rolleye: Never, not once when they were awake. I haven't thought about it since.
