I just received a similar offer from Shoppers' Hotline a few weeks ago, also. Or rather, my 19 yr old DS received the offer in the mail, and gave it to me as he knows I love doing stuff like this! I called and asked if I could submit it in my name, rather than his, and was told no problem. If I remember correctly, mailing the reply card back does not guarantee you will be chosen to do this - they are searching for people in various areas of the country who fit certain profiles to do this, so I think the sooner you reply, the better chance you have of being the person in your area to be chosen.
My offer just said they would send the "Scankey" if you are selected to participate , and everytime you purchased any item, you were to scan the bar code with this. You then place the Scankey in it's base, and the equipment transmits your purchase info automatically once a week via toll free 1-800 number. It said you would receive points which could then be redeemed for gift certificates....no other info re: points than this, and also that you would be entered in monthly & quarterly cash drawings.
This must be something new with the various companies. Anyone else with experience with either of these companies?
