The cast: Me (DH) 42, DW 41, DD 16, DD 8, DD 6, DFIL 64, DMIL 62, DBIL 37, DSIL 36 & DBIL 38. It was a large extended family vacation with members coming from Montgomery, AL; Bay Minette, AL; and Bozeman, MT. The first day (11/19) we left Montgomery after the girls got home from school. My in-laws left Bay Minette around two to beat the traffic across the hurricane damaged I-10 bridge over Pensacola Bay. We met in Marianna at the Best Western Marianna Inn for our first night sleep. Since our group is so large, we decided to rent a vacation home in the Indian Creek subdivision http://www.floridabeatvillas.co.uk/. It is a beautiful house in an excellent location which I highly recommend. It is close to the parks and sure beats all the bus riding associated to most Disney properties. We left Marianna around 8AM to head to Kissimmee and our new home for the week. The traffic was pretty light most of the trip and we arrived in Kissimmee around 2:20 PM. Our vacation home was absolutely beautiful. It has it's own pool and jacuzzi along with all the other amenties of a large house. Our only complaint was the lack of many essential cable channels like ESPN, ESPN2 and CNN since we are typical SEC football fanatics. We lounged around the pool and ordered some pizza for dinner. After dinner, we reviewed our itinerary in preparation for our visit to AK the next day. Next up: Day 3 - AK then MK for Spectro and Wishes and a few rides.
