I was at a local store and discovered some Wise Green Onion dip packets. Now I know this is complete and utter junk for me but omg did I get excited this little bit of the 80s has survived, I always looked and just found them again a few months ago..

I also adore Wise BBQ chips, Jolly Ranchers and remember when Doritos fist became a big thing, not to mention Jolt soda which I have not seen in ages but remember fondly when my brother was in a garage band and we'd all need to stay awake all hours until their set.

I rarely indulge but I did get 10 packets

There’s a White Castle’s near my doctor’s office. Sometimes I get a pang of longing when I pass it.

I have the wise green onion dip mix in my cupboard. It is my favorite chip dip! I’ll join you for our guilty pleasure!

I recently found those orange cream life savers from I’m guessing the 90s and couldn’t resist buying it!

Cap'n Crunch with the Crunch Berries. It's been my favorite garbage cereal for about 30 years. I grew up eating healthy cereals like Cheerios and Wheaties. Got my first taste of Cap'n Crunch in college. Love it.

It get excited about Better Cheddars crackers and fountain Pepsi as well. Oh the sweet indigestion.

Ahhh my 80s brethren, I salute you ; )

We used to call them murder burgers because they'd kill ya in a few hours but yum!

I thought I was the only one with the longing for 99 cent dip mix, glad I am not alone!

Captain Crunch is amazing, it is full of sharp and pointy bits so only for the tough but if you can take the injury they are amazing!

1960's. Seems a lot of addictive junk foods were invented in that decade.

Pop Tarts
Space Food Sticks
Pringles
PDQ milk flavoring, chocolate, strawberry or egg nog
Cap'n Crunch
Fruit Loops
Lucky Charms
Bugles
Doritos
Hostess Ding Dongs
Hostess Ho Hos (originally named Yo Hos)
Chips Ahoy Cookies
Starburst
Sweet Tarts

Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream... I have a weakness for potato chips anyway, but these have been my favorite forever.
Ohhh, thats a good one. I do really love chips too, I hate that I developed issues with salt because I miss this stuff so much. I can have a couple but I miss not caring lol.

Such a great list and yes, I agree a lot came out of the 60s.

I remember the PDQ, loved it! Haven't had a Ding Dong or Ho Ho in forever, the chocolate had it own taste. So many still around but I missed the boat on Space Food Sticks, no idea what those were although I do remember the outer space fad.

And then the roof of your mouth would be cut up for a week!

Quisp (cereal with the little martian guy) was in the very same league.

I don't remember that one but hat was up with the mouth damage? We had the cereals, the jawbreakers, the charms round candies that would slip down the throat with a poorly timed inhalation and pop rocks. Childhood was one giant exercise in Darwinism, cheers to us for making it:rotfl:

For me its ice cream. I loved Mississippi Mud, Sidewalk Sundaes and Dreamsicles. I think Dreamsicles are still around but I don't know about the other two.

I loved chocolate Zingers and Fritos with bean dip at one time too.

These days just Jell-O Instant Chocolate Fudge Pudding. When I was younger and enjoyed heavier sweets one of my very favorites was Golden Corral's Chocolate Chess Pie. At home 🍪

Crunch Berries is one of the best cereals, probably topped only by Fruity Pebbles for me. Cereal is definitely one of my junk food weaknesses, along with just about any kind of potato chips.

I remembered another category, Entenmann's Cakes.

There used to be Blackout which was my favorite and worth every migraine it ever gave me, and the one in attendance at any family gathering for my entire childhood, the giant Danish Ring.

Junk food cereals are still a favorite, I used to love the little mini samplers because they were the only time I ever got the Honey Smacks, Cocoa Pops or Corn Pops.... sweets were such a treat back then.
