absentee voting????

It just occurred to me that I will be in Disney World on election day (I live in Pa) How do I go about getting an absentee ballot? Has anyone done this before that could advise?

I have done it a couple of times and is doing it this way for the two elections this year. You can go to the post office to get an application, or they may have an application in your local phone book. Just fill out the info. and sent it in. The ballot will be sent to you and then you will fill it out and send it back.

I usually use an absentee ballot because I work as an election inspector. They send me the ballot. You can go to your township hall to pick one up, too.

Monday is the LAST day in Ohio to order/request one.
Don't delay.

DH's was sent to him because we registered him as an absentee voter when he got his license. (Being military and all!) When I was in Virginia, we actually voted in the courthouse before the election. And when I was in college, Mom went to the courthouse in Jersey and picked mine up and sent it to me.

I got the application on-line, I sent it in a few days ago, and got the ballot in the mail today. I think in NJ they ask for a week. Don't remember where I got it, but I think I got the info from this site, so either a general "absentee ballot" search, or a Dis search should get you the info for the application.

Monday is actually the deadline to register to vote - not get the absentee ballots - in Ohio you have to request the ballot at least 3 days before the election and in your state you have to do so one week before the election

In most Board of election offfices (in OH) and I would bet in your state too - you can go there and vote - they have a poll set up in their offices for absentee voting - I would just call to check first

My college student son will be home for fall break Thursday and Friday, and he plans to go by the Board of Elections, vote the ballot and turn it in.
