Hi,
We're headed to NYC on Saturday. Does anyone by chance know if they sell mouse ears there? l would love to get them before the trip in November and I'm all about getting them in a B&M store versus online (to figure out sizes with the kids).
Also, do they sell Jibbitz there?
Thanks!!
Amy

I called the WoD store -- no time to run over there and check today (I work in midtown) -- they do sell the classic Mickey ears, but the CM said they do not do the embroidery -- I assume she meant the monogramming. You could probably get that done in WDW.

Forgot to ask about the Jibbitz, sorry. You can call at 212.702.0702. Here's a link to the webpage: http://destinations.disney.go.com/wod/store/storeInfo/landing?id=NEW_AboutWODLandingPage

Also, here's a link to a recent thread on things to do in NYC with kids: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1443688

Have fun!

How sweet of you! Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate you taking the time out to call for me!
Hope you have a great day!

Thanks! I got some time and decided a little dose of pixie dust wouldn't kill me. Here's a brief guide to the WoD NYC:

Basement: Clean, spacious, quiet restrooms! (Hint for touring: Look for a nearby hotel if you need a restroom. Department stores, too, though they may not be as clean.)

1st floor: There be Jibbitz here! Left-hand side along the wall, just before you get to the escalators. Under the Crocs, of course. I picked up some POTC Jibbitz for my boys.

Also on 1: Pins, pins, and more pins, just as you walk in. A number of them NYC-Disney themed. To the right, some jewelry, keychains, and handbags, and a little stand with 40 -- I counted -- different antenna toppers. To the left, household stuff like mugs and plates. To the rear of the store, a whole princess-themed section, including a make-your-own necklace stand.

2nd floor: Books and videos; lots of POTC stuff; a "wall of Stitch"; a Mr. Potato Head stand, again with lots of NYC and Disney themed stuff; cars, trains, monorail sets; lots of plush.

3rd floor: Fine art. Really expensive stuff, too. That $550 portait of Jack Sparrow you've been looking for? You've come to the right place. More expensive stuff, too -- I saw one painting for over $5000. Posters, figurines, paintings, cells. And the character meet and greet. Today it was Snow White and Dopey, together. They come out at scheduled times, so you may want to call ahead. The line wasn't too bad, either, only about three or four groups deep.

There is a bag special going on; a kind of nice black nylon tote bag with the WoD NYC logo embroidered in red for $5 if you spend $35 on other swag.

Have a great trip!

Completely off-topic: If you or your little ones are afficionados of fine German sausages, then walk one block south of the WoD to the northwest (right-hand closest to you) corner of 54th and 5th to the "Hallo Berlin" pushcart. I don't think it's there on weekends, though. A big variety of German sausages, definitely a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining experience.

DH and I were there about 3 weekends ago. I saw the pirates ears upstairs and I'm sure they have others as well.

Enjoy your trip. Hopefully you will have much better weather than we did. We went on a rainy day and got soaked, even with umbrellas!

Thank you so much, Checkwriter!! You are so kind! I loved the detailed tour! I can't wait to go, although the forecast temps keep dropping every time I check the weather! I've never been when it is nice out! Oh well!
Thanks again for everything!
Amy
