Thanks! I got some time and decided a little dose of pixie dust wouldn't kill me. Here's a brief guide to the WoD NYC:
Basement: Clean, spacious, quiet restrooms! (Hint for touring: Look for a nearby hotel if you need a restroom. Department stores, too, though they may not be as clean.)
1st floor: There be Jibbitz here! Left-hand side along the wall, just before you get to the escalators. Under the
Crocs, of course. I picked up some POTC Jibbitz for my boys.
Also on 1: Pins, pins, and more pins, just as you walk in. A number of them NYC-Disney themed. To the right, some jewelry, keychains, and handbags, and a little stand with 40 -- I counted -- different antenna toppers. To the left, household stuff like mugs and plates. To the rear of the store, a whole princess-themed section, including a make-your-own necklace stand.
2nd floor: Books and videos; lots of POTC stuff; a "wall of Stitch"; a Mr. Potato Head stand, again with lots of NYC and Disney themed stuff; cars, trains, monorail sets; lots of plush.
3rd floor: Fine art. Really expensive stuff, too. That $550 portait of Jack Sparrow you've been looking for? You've come to the right place. More expensive stuff, too -- I saw one painting for over $5000. Posters, figurines, paintings, cells. And the character meet and greet. Today it was Snow White and Dopey, together. They come out at scheduled times, so you may want to call ahead. The line wasn't too bad, either, only about three or four groups deep.
There is a bag special going on; a kind of nice black nylon tote bag with the WoD NYC logo embroidered in red for $5 if you spend $35 on other swag.
Have a great trip!
Completely off-topic: If you or your little ones are afficionados of fine German sausages, then walk one block south of the WoD to the northwest (right-hand closest to you) corner of 54th and 5th to the "Hallo Berlin" pushcart. I don't think it's there on weekends, though. A big variety of German sausages, definitely a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining experience.
