??? about Wicked in Chicago

Is there any way to find out how long the production of Wicked will be playing in Chicago? Currently ticket sales are listed through early next year, as I try to figure this out (schedules and $$$) I am thinking later is better. but I don't know when the production will be "moving on"

There's a thread right above yours asking about the Ford Theatre in Chicago. She's going to see Wicked. She happened to mention that the run ends in February.

Just so you know, the run in Chicago ends in early February.

If your thinking is that closer to the end of it's run the ticket prices may go down, that's not going to happen.
Those last shows will be hard to get tickets at some point. As die hard fans will be wanting to see the last performances.

UGGHHH, I was hoping that I could buy tickets in about March, and then go see it in the summer. I just don't have the money for tickets right now.

There aren't really any good locations (for us) in the Midwest, for the touring version. Maybe East Lansing next summer. And then we could swing by the Detroit area and visit my niece and her triplets (who will be about 16 months old then).

Hang on, there was just an article in the Trib last week stating that Wicked may run for years. There is a new prodcution opening in LA later this year or early next and they are completely recasting, not taking the Chicago production. Historically, they have been releasing 4 or 5 months or tickets at a time. I am guessing that by late Oct or Nov, they will have the next block released.

Keep watching the Wicked Chicago site for details, but I can tell you the Producer of the show said there are no plans to close the production any time soon.
