Just wondering if anyone else has gotten this and if you could take it straight to the turnstiles or if you had to exchange it at the ticket booth. Thanks!

Yes you can take the free-pass ticket straight to the turnstiles!
Make sure it has the barcode and that it is registered on the Universal Studio AP website.
