I have booked a GVC room at the Poly and have been checking the disney website and calling various times to try to get LVC. I was told by a friend to check with one of the disney travel agents, so i did and they tell me that they can book LVC for my dates. So my ? is do travel agents go through a different process to book a room. I mean disney is telling me NO to LVC but the travel agent says it is available which I am really excited about but a little apprenhensive at the same time.

NO they have the same availability as everyone else, it could just be that when the travel agent checked there was a room available and they held it for you. Availability changes all the time

Hi, former travel agent here!!

Disney "sells" off inventory to different travel companies. It is called an allotment. The allotment that say AAA gets is different from the allotment that Disney res has. That's why it's possible for it to be available in one place, but not another.

Usually about 30 days prior to a departure date, the unsold inventory is given back to Disney for use in their own reservation system.

If you are working with a good travel agent, he/she will know to check the different availability with the travel companies that are given allotments of Disney space. It means making a few phone calls, but unless you're going at a peak time, your travel agent can usually find what you want ... booking in advance.

Thank you, I guess really that was my main ? is that travel agents can have access or allotment ?whatever? to rooms that you may not be able to access on dinsey's website.
