?? about transferring points

I recently purchased 2 contracts that included some banked points. I understand that these points can not be transferred, but my currnet UY points could be transferred to another member.

What I am not sure about is the "one time transfer" per UY.
If both my contracts are for the same resort and same UY under the same membership number, can the total points in the current UY be transferred. 100 points from each contract--200 points total in UY. Would the number that can be transferred to another member be 100 or 200?

I believe it is one transfer per Membership, no matter how many sub-contracts/resorts are under that membership.

This is true. Last year I transferred 275 SSR points and 75 BCV points under the same membership to one person for a total of 350 points.

IIRC on the wording, it's actually one per member or one per membership. Obviously that leaves room for interpretation. As I understand it, DVC's historical interpretation has been one per Master Contract. As written I believe one could interpret it anywhere from that each listed member gets a transfer on the liberal side to each membership the person is listed to gets one total on the strictest side. And they could change it yesterday if they wanted.

All contracts with the same use year month under one membership number have a grand total of one transfer right per use year, in or out but not both. If you buy one contract for 100 points and then add on another 100 points for a different resort but same use year month, you would have the right to transfer up to 200 points but you still can only do one transfer during the use year.

The only way you get a second transfer right is to have two different membership numbers and to do so what you usually need to do is buy points resale in a different use year than your current contract. A different use year means a different membership number and thus each use year would havd its one transfer right.

I haven''t received a Multi-Site POS in a while. However, in 2006, the wording changed away from what you specify closer to my posting. Here's the info I have found in "Home Resort Rules and Regulations".

2/2006 version:

During a given UY, a given club member may, per membership, either transfer or receive Transferred Vacation Points, but may not both transfer and receive Transferred Vacation Points.

7/2006 version:

During a given UY, only one transfer per club member or club membership, either as transferee or transferor, will be permitted.

I read the 2/2006 version as you state but not the 7/2006 version. As I read the later version, I think the most accurate interpretation is one over all memberships a given person is associated with. I realize it gets convoluted if the owners are listed differently. I also acknowledge that the current enforcement is closer to the older wording.

Sounds as if I should be able to transfer 200 points. Name on both contracts are exactly the same and have the same membership number.

I will talk to MS tomorrow.
