? about transfer of points

I have some points to transfer out and they expire the last day of Sept. Do they still expire at this time when I transfer to someone else's account or do they change to the new owners uy?

Please explain how this works?

Not exactly. Only MS can tell you what will happen with your specific use year.

Transferred points are suppose to retain their original resort and use year. However, MS computers are not set up to really handle this, so what happens is the points get transferred into the other person's account, but will be one of their resorts and use years.

You're currently in your 2005 UY. Suppose you transfer to someone with only an OKW June UY. They're already into their 2006 UY. In this case your Oct 2005 points would most likely wind up as OKW June 2006 points in the other person's account.

What resort and UY they wind up in will depend on what resorts and use years the other person has.

The only way they would maintain their Oct UY is if the other person has an October UY also, or MS makes a manual notation on the record, something they don't like to do.

Can I transfer 50 HHI points into my 100 BWV in Feb and then I will have 150 BMV points to use on my BWV 11 month booking?

Can banked/borrowed points be transfered?

If I needed transfer unit to complete my booking at the 11 month mark does it have to be other BWV points and then at the 7 month points any will do?

I'll answer your last question first: No, banked/borrowed points cannot be transferred.

Now, it appears you have two separate master contracts, thus each has it's own membership number. In other words the 50 HH points are NOT an add-on contract. So yes, you can transfer between your two contracts. Now, both of your contracts are currently in their 2006 use year, so if you transfer your Feb HH points they will probably wind up as BWV June UY points. But this is not guaranteed. They are suppose to remain as HH Feb points, but as mentioned the computers have problems assigning points to someone for a resort/UY month they don't currently own, so the points go into a resort/UY month they do own.

The way MS currently controls it is to put a manual notation attached to the points so that they're identified as HH Feb points even though they would be in your BWV June year. If they put the points into BWV June and don't make any type of notation, then they effectively are BWV points and could be used at 11-months. But if they make a notation, and at 11-months someone sees it, they won't let you use them. You could use all of them at 7-months of course.

If indeed you're able to transfer BWV points from somewhere and somehow, then they would be combined with your regular BWV points and all would be available at 11-months since they would be the same resort.

Keep in mind the transfer rules only allow points to go in one direction. If you transferred HH points OUT and into your other contract, then you could only do future transfers OUT of the HH contract, and IN to the other contract, within the same calendar year. You could not transfer in the other direction. Also you could not receive points in your HH contract from another member, and you could not transfer OUT of your BWV contract to another member, until the next calendar year.
