About to put an offer on Saratoga Springs - Offer accepted at OKW

Sounds like both the sellers and Disney think you offers are too low and you'd be wise to up your budget a few $ per point

Looking at the ROFR list, his offer was well above what's gotten through for others quite recently.

DVC must have had a direct buyer wait listed whose points and UY requirements matched the contract.

I would say he had bad luck. I strongly disagree that his offer was too low. And considering how much over other recent successful offers he was paying, I suspect that a couple additional dollars in the contract wouldn't have made a difference. We will never know of course, as Disney has decided to make the ROFR process both opaque and time consuming.

This is one of the areas where buying resale is more of a PITA than buying direct. It will be financially well worth it, once a contract passes ROFR and the buyer saves thousands or tens of thousands of dollars versus direct. But it still a pain.

I don't believe this is the case.

I'm not so sure the sellers feel that way since they accepted his offers.
True.

We've (on the ROFR thread) had 2 SSR contracts that got scooped up by Disney since January. One for $60 and one for $69. Both had current points and both had August UYs.

I think you are right in this case. Someone was looking for this small add on contract and Disney needed it to fill their need. Even though it was more than every other OWK contract that has passed since Jan. (ROFR thread), why wouldn't Disney buy it back at $71 and resell is at $130 and make a FAST $3500.

OP- I'm sorry resale has been a grueling process for you. Keep your head high. There is a lot of movement on the resale front you have to just keep swimming! Make sure you check out 'disney dvc resale dot com'. You can search multiple brokers at the same time. Good luck! You'll be 'Home' before you know it. :goodvibes

Well it is now official. I have no luck whatsoever with this process.

Just got an answer from Disney and they decided to buy it back at 74$ / pts.
So now I'm back to square 1...

So sorry to hear that. Buying resale is a lot more work, but with the savings it is worth it. Good luck in your next contract bid I am sure you will find another one soon. :thumbsup2
