About those Christmas cookies..

I make tons every year, but have never attempted to ship them anywhere.. With both my brother and my sister living in Florida now it would be nice if I could send them some BUT - do they really stay fresh and not arrive as cookie "crumbs"?

Maybe Priority Mail would help?

It would be so neat if I could do this because they have always loved my Christmas cookies and ended up taking large containers of them home..

Wrap cookies back to back in plastic wrap so yuu have many packages of two. Ship in a sturdy box inside a box. Call the UPS store to help- you out.

Definitely send them priority mail. Both my parents have sent me food at school. Dad sent me a baggie full of cookies, in a normal small box with some packing padding in there. Mom sent me tollhouse brownies. She put them in a plastic container (you can buy a cheap pack of those at grocery stores, Wal Mart, etc) that we had gotten just for sending food to school with me, then put the container in a shoe box with torn up paper bags for padding, then wrapped it in brown paper to ship. Both arrived just fine, with everything whole, and fresh.

Well since I live in Florida, I think you should ship me some first. That way I can do a taste test and let you know if they are safe to ship down to your brother and sister.

I would buy some of the little Christmas tins that Walmart sells, pack them in there with plastic wrap, then put that in with some padding into a Priority box.
