?? about the Choice Hotel VISA

Ok, I signed up for the credit card based on the offer of 2 free nights that they are currently offering. We just received the first statement and I have 6000 bonus points listed. On the Bank of America Choice VISA website, it shows a bonus of 6000 points the first time you use the card. I have the letter from Choice Privileges showing 16,000 pts after first purchase. My question is - will we still receive the 16000 bonus points in 6-8 weeks as it originally mentioned? We signed up on 6/8/05 so I'm definitely within the 6/1-8/31 time frame for the bonus.

I can't find an answer to this anywhere so thought maybe someone here has gone through the experience. It seems strange that they would give out so many points. I'd LOVE it if we get both bonuses but want to call them (tried & couldn't find out how to get a live person) because I'd rather have the 16,000 pts if it's one or the other!

we got our points credited finally, from the special. It was definitely more than a month after our first purchase, but before I got really antsy about it. HTH

So did you get 16,000 from the special after receiving 6,000 from the first purchase? We have already received 6,000 but according to the special, we should receive 16,000 in 6-8 weeks. I wasn't expecting the 6,000 and wanted to make sure that wasn't given to us instead of the bigger bonus.

Glad to hear it takes awhile so maybe there is hope we'll get both? It would sure help the road trips we have planned this year!

I would definitely check with them on that, ask at the website. I signed up the last week of April I think...started using the card right away. I just checked, and I got the 16000 first purchase bonus, but never got any 6000 points. I THOUGHT I had 6000 points before the 16000 credited to my acount... maybe they give you that part right away, and then add 10,000 within 6-8 weeks?
