I'm wondering if anyone has been in this situation and how it was handled. My daughter has a RR account with 14 credits. You need 16 within 24 months for a free ticket and credits expire after 24 months. She is due 2 more credits from a hotel stay last weekend. She has 2 credits that will expire in early May. All information says it can take up to 8 weeks for hotel credits to be deposited into an account. What happens if her oldest 2 credits expire before the 2 newest ones are deposited? Technically, the last 2 credits were earned within the 24 months. Does she lose out or can Southwest see that all 16 credits were earned within the time frame? I called the 800 number and that CSR could not answer the question. She said that the computer only sees the expiration date and will delete the credits on the anniversary. She understood and agreed with my concern. She gave me the RR Customer Service number to call but they are not open on weekends. I will call on Monday but was wondering if anyone has been in this situation? Thanks in advance!

Yes it happened to us. Same thing and they deleted our credits. Now I learned that I will earn my credits up to 3 months before hand to get my points. I had 14 last September after my flight and added on a hotel first part of Oct. And 2 credits would be expiring the very last day of Oct. The hotel didn't credit in time so I lost 2 credits. So stupid. All they said was sorry.

It is possible that the credits for the hotel stay will be posted sooner than the 8 weeks. We had a hotel stay on 3/18, and I don't recall the exact date that it posted to the account, but it's there now, and I think I saw it there within 2-3 weeks. So, maybe you'll get lucky and the hotel credit will post in time. If it doesn't post before the others expire, I'm afraid you're out of luck, and you'll still be short the 2 credits. Good luck with a quick posting from the hotel! :goodvibes

Bummer! - Hopefully the hotel credits will be deposited quickly. We have gotten credits from hotels before and they have always come more quickly than stated. Crossing our fingers!
