? about rezzies for next year - not at home resort

We are planning on a stay at WDW next April (2007). We would like to stay at another resort other than our home. Is it suggested to make rezzies for our home resort at the 11th month window and then change them for the other resort (BCV) at the 7th month window?

That would be wisest. Its less important if you are switching at seven months to a larger resort, but switching to a smaller resort, its nice to have a backup plan - though it may not be likely you'll need it - particularly if you are willing to go on the waitlist for a few nights.

Make sure you book BCV the minute the 7-month window opens. It can fill up pretty fast, especially if a lot of schools are on Spring break.

We just did this for December... we're SSR owners but want to try for a studio at VWL with a Dec. 23 check-out date, so we're booked for SSR but I'll be calling at the 7-month window for VWL. It's one of those things where we know we're going anyway, so let's make sure we have a place to stay and then switch if we can.
