I have saw were many people are getting the $25 Best Western LBV. I have been to biddingfortravel.com but not much luck on really understanding FAQs.
If i go and bid the $25 and it gets excepted will it then tell me what the hotel is? Also will i be able to cancel after that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, as soon as your bid is accepted, you'll get a screen that says "Your Price Has Been Accepted!". It will then list the hotel information, i.e. name of hotel, check in and out dates, confirmation no. and hotel request no. plus what you're paying per night and total charge with taxes and processing fee.

PL's policy is: "Once hotel rooms are purchased through priceline.com, they cannot be cancelled or changed by priceline or the hotel that accepts your offer and no refunds will be given. Priceline does offer travel insurance for hotel reservations. Take a look at the policy information when placing your request as it may make sense to add it to your purchase. That way, if you have a qualifying event, you may be eligible to get your money back."

I've never gotten their insurance, so I don't know what the qualifying event would be but it might be worth looking into.

As soon as your bid is accepted, the money is deducted (within a day or so) from which ever card you've entered when making your bid.

We've used them a lot for hotel rooms and airline tickets and haven't been disappointed. We got the Renaissance World Gate (as did many others) for $35 a night for our trip in October. We got the same one last year and we were very pleased with the hotel.

What were you bidding and for what dates? That may make a difference.

I actually find I do best with "late" bookings.

qrtrms--A few hours before this post you posted that you bid for a 2* but PL gave you have you a 1*. You're now posting that you're about to bid?

Which is it? Did you make a mistake in bidding and get a 1* or are you about to bid? People here are glad to help BUT give us the facts.

With PL you buy the hotel before you know what you're getting. My opinion, bid at least 1 * level about what you would normally be happy with. There is some "over rating" and some hotels in a category are better than others. In other words if you'd be happy with most of the 2* hotels bid 2 1/2, if you'd be happy with most of the 2 1/2 * hotels bid 3*.

There are so many good deals (check the ads on this board) that you may not be saving enough $$ on a 2 or even 2 1/2* hotel to justify PL policies.

i am sorry don't mean to be so confusing but i posted this long before the other one it just didn't show up. I think all my post are being checked before posting them since i am new.

Anyway PL did make a mistake according to the lady i talked to she cancelled and all that is taken care. Now in 3 days i will just try again. Thanks for all your help.
