? about North Face jackets

My DS (7) wants a North Face black fleece. I've found some on sale for girls (in his size) that seem to look exactly like the boys. Is there really a difference in the the boys vs. girls styles? Would anyone be able to tell the difference?

If he just wants the black fleece, I don't think there's any difference at all between girls/boys. Once you hit the larger, adult sizes, the women's are a little more tapered to fit; but I'm pretty sure the kids' ones are all the same shape.

The boys are longer, and the zipper will be on the wrong side.

Your 7 year old knows about north face already? would nip that habit in the bud. Does he just want a black fleece or does it have to be North Face?
