Hi.
We usually plan our trips 8-12 months in advance. This year we haven't. Our budget hinges on getting an AP rate or similar discount at a moderate at the beginning of value season (late Aug. or early Sept. 2002). Just trying to get a feel for what to expect for availability, since I know the AP rate is announced through Sept. Also wondering if a lot of people are getting that $93 rate. I plan to call as soon as our party agrees on a date.

I would imagine that you could stay just about anywhere in Sept. I was staying with my brother in Orlando 2 yrs ago because he was getting married. We(my family) decided that we wanted to stay in WDW. I picked up the phone and got a room at AS Sports for the week @$99 per.

The next day, the day after Labor Day, we went to MK. It was like a ghost town. We could get on anything we wanted. Longest wait - 10 minutes. That week was awesome.

I'm sure when the discount codes come out in April, or later for Fall months, you'll have no problems getting a room at a moderate.

Disney has a code out now for Sept. called the Mickey Monitor rate which is for AP holders only. I called and asked for the AP rate and was given a discount. But I have seen people call and had to ask for the Mickey Monitor rate. The rate is good up through the end of Sept. Hope this helps.
