? about Kidani Savannah views

HI!! We are back for our second stay at Kidani and "splurged" for a savannah view this time. I don;t know that much about these. I understand there are different savannahs and different animals... Is there one you would recommend? Are these further from the pool area??? THANKS!!!

Most people here seem to prefer the Sunset Savannah, it's the largest one at Kidani, and has the standard animals, the giraffes and zebras as well as others. I was thrilled to be on the Pembe savannah, it has the red river hogs, (they may be in another savannah as well, over at Jambo), but Pembe only has okapi. Pembe also has a lot of deer like creatures like these:

We saw the red river hogs lots of times, they look so cute when they run around!

To be near the lobby would put you close to the pool, I think. However if you are further out along the bead that's away from Jambo, there's an elevator that takes you down to the pool without going near the lobby.

Good!!!! Enjoy that view! I've been twice with two different views and they were both awesome! How I figure is that if you're going to stay at AKL then do it right! we saw gazelle type animals, these long horned Ankola, and tons of giraffes.

We were on the Sunset Savanna and enjoyed watching giraffes, zebras, some sort of cattle, ostriches. We were also close to the pool, but far from the lobby. The cast member told me the lower floors were better for viewing because the trees block views looking down from some of the upper rooms. Don't know whether this is true or not, but we were on the second floor and had a great view.

If you just went by luck of the draw, you have a better chance of getting Sunset Savannah as a good portion of the rooms face that way. We prefer Sunset and we always ask to have the 2nd or 3rd floor to be closer to the animals. No matter which one you end up with, you'll love it!
